For some reason Chaos Scatter suddenly stopped working and my scatter objects are no longer renderable. I tried reinstalling V-Ray, but it didn’t help. What should I do?
I managed to fix it! It seems that an unexpected crash or computer shutdown had caused the file “Plugin.UserSettings.ini” in “C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3d sMax \2023 - 64bit\ENU” to get corrupted. Here’s how the file looked:
I had to add this line of text in order for the plug-ins to load properly:
Additional MAX plug-ins=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2023\PlugIns\
Now everything works fine.
