Chaos Vantage v2.6.0 has been released and here are the highlights:

  • Added support for V-Ray Clipper
  • Added support for the VRayMtl SSS Translucency mode
  • Added support for opacity in Stochastic mode of the VRayMtl
  • Added Water surface object
  • Added support for the PhoenixFD Ocean texture
  • Added support for transparent VRayLightMtl
  • Improved Cameras represented as objects
  • Improved camera transitions with smoother trajectories

Chaos Vantage v2.6.1 has been released and here are the highlights:

  • Added presets for the Water Surface object
  • Added support for vector mode displacement for the Phoenix Ocean Texture​.
  • Added SSS to the GI render element​
  • Fixed unwanted camera creation for each camera move during Live Link when using .vantage scene loaded as a config​
  • Fixed crash when loading a config file​

Hello everyone,

Chaos Vantage v2.6.2 has been released and here are the highlights:

  • Added an option for LOD bias when dynamic textures are used
  • Added the name of the selected camera in the scene animation track​
  • Improved asset import - when dragging onto empty space, an implicit plane at height 0 is used for placement instead of the scene origin​
  • Fixed the selected scene animation camera not being saved in the config file​
  • Fixed black sky when the V-Ray 7 PRG sky model is selected. The V-Ray 6 model is still used​
  • Fixed wrong rendering of Mesh clipper with SSS​
  • Fixed wrong wave scale after hiding and showing a Water Surface object​
  • Fixed ignoring the “loop animation” preference option when merging scenes​
