im not that good at character modeling but this is my best try to bring this guy into the 3d realm.

the eyes look kinda chinese, make them more rounded so you get a more cartoon like look.
Also, comparing with the logo, the eyebrows are to separate, and in the logo they look closer.
Dont try to imitate human likeness, i think your goal is a cartoon look.
hehe thanks. i found they were too chinese too. i had been fighting with them for a while now to get them rounder. ill go back to trying again hehe
Looks really great but his head is shaped more like a pear. Look at the profile in the illustration. You’ve almost got the cheeks but just a little more out and smoother too. Looks like his hair is supposed to be white and the mustache and eyebrows black?

WOW
it is good to see the chefette mascott (best fried chicken and roti anywhere)brought to life…
is this for the restaurant or just a challenge…
i think it may help to add the bow tie to complete the model…
as always, nice work
andre (fellow bajan)
didnt know we had other bajans in here. Are you currently living in barbados or you live abroad? And yeah. its for the restaurant.
As for the head maybe i might do a ffd to everything at the end to get it more pear shaped. once i can get the eyes to a point where im happy with them. The bowtie will come in due time.
That’s a good idea. Should work like a charm ![]()

its a small world . i have see your site and your work on this site for some time now… i am in washington d.c. but i was born lived most of my life in bim(lodge boy)
take a look at another local boy’s work ![]()
andre
oh yeah. now i remember you. i remember this site from a while back when the chaoticdimension forum was in the early stages.
Nice character!!!
very very LOL!!!

here is an update on my character
Looks a lot better. But I think he doesn’t look as happy as he does in the logo. I’m not good at being able to tell what it is, but I’m thinking maybe its something having to do with the eyes.
Pretty nice though - I’d never be able to make something like that.
Haha, much more baker like ![]()
Everything’s looking good, I especially like how the eyes are going.
One crit is that his skin looks a little too tan for those rosy red cheeks.
--Jon
he’s alive!!!
ALIVE!!!
Great job, your facial animation looks to be timed just right with the head movement
So what technique did you use to model the hair? One last crit would be that the red on the cheeks is a little low IMHO.
--Jon
the hair is poly modeled. everything is poly modeled.
thanks for the C&C ill see about the red dot. i need to make the red of the lips a little better too
The creases around the eyes and nose are too harsh perhaps, Softening them might help the friendly aspect mentioned before.
Nice for a “non_Character modeler”… ![]()
you mean the crease above the eye and below the eye?
thanks for the comments though. the clients are just loving it.
im not sure if i will make the crease adjustment though since ive already gone to the trouble of making morph targets and it would be a pain to go and redo all the targets
…he’ll look happier if you raise his brow ridge a little…raise your eyebrows and look in the mirror…i think this is what looks different in the logo…
