It would be great if it was possible to check out floating licenses for offline use for a specified period of time to match what Revit allows. Currently if we want to take and use Revit/Enscape in a meeting without internet access, we have to re-assign a fixed seat license. This would be much easier if we could just check out a floating license.
Hey @iHoody , if you have an Enscape floating license, the computer you want to open Enscape on has to be connected to the internet to check for available seats on your license. But, if there is no internet connection while you try to open Enscape, Enscape will start a 24 hour timeframe, counted on from the last successful validation.
During this timeframe, you will be able to use Enscape as usual. If your computer still has no connection after 24 hours, or if your computer regains internet connection, but all of your seats are currently being used, Enscape will get watermarked.
In this case, have you already tried to use a floating license offline? If so, what kind of problems are your experiencing while trying to do so?
