Would be nice to be able to see what VRay version is installed on a slave. Especially if you can’t get into max for whatever reason (like 30 day expired for example)
This way if you have a lot of nodes, you can see which one still needs an updated vray version or if somebody else said they installed, to double check if it was actually done
There is a DRcheck tool here > http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/misc/
Unfortunately this version of the tool works only with V-Ray 2 for Max. I will check if we can update it.
I think the RT Version is accurate but a confirmation would be nice. In your RT\bin Folder launching vray.exe with -version as an argument yields output like this:
C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\RT for 3ds Max 2014 for x64\bin>vray -version

Yes, it is accurate. It gives you the core number and the exact build date, which is more important. You could use it to compare the version on all machines.
But the DR check tool allows you to check the slave V-Ray version from the workstation, without using any remote applications or checking the nodes one by one locally.
