Circle on glass reflection in animation

Hi
I did a draft animation of an extension to house, and a circle appears in the reflection as it pans along and follows with the camera.
Any idea what it is, and how to get rid of it, please.
I presume it’s a camera settings.
The model is simple and lit with a HDRI.
Latest Corona Commercial version not a daily build.
Still attached.
Thank you

Phil

What is your HDRI’s projection mode? Maybe it’s dome in Corona bitmap?

No, it’s spherical.

Looks like a smoothing group issue then. Try to add a smooth modifier on top of the glass. Presumably the glass of the building is one object/mesh (imported).

Good Luck

That’s strange. I see that reflections in the top part of the window are strangely distorted, but i have no clue what’s going on here.

^I would bet on this

Was the glass model imported from some CAD software like Revit?
I remember a similar issue from the past and it was caused by some incorrect normal values.

If you hide those glass planes and create a simple box geometry, is the circle thing still there?

Thank you all the replies.

The windows where from a library I have for a while.
They come in with 2d Planes and I shell and copy them , and generally use the mirror glass and turn down the opacity in the setting to 0.25.
I rebuilt the glass, and re applied the material and it seems fine now.

So
" NEVER TRUST AN IMPORTED MODEL"

My golden rule generally ,but sometime your tied for time.

Thank you all for the help, and yes it was the normals I would say.

Philip

I’m glad it’s resolved!
It’s funny how something as basic as a plane with shell can break so easily. The fragile beauty of 3D
