Any help on this one would be appreciated. Looks good on screen, but plotted to dark.

Hi,

Image>Adjust>shadow/highlights

in Photshop. My images are always darker when printed. However, looked dark on my screen. Is your screen calibrated?

Clinic

Beautiful, thanks!

calibration

I have a DELL widescreen, which I calibrated, but it didn’t really need it.

Re: calibration

If you’re outputting differently to your proofs are you sure?

calibration

actually I had a reminder to re-calibrate this morning. I’ll double check.

No worries fella.

Very nice image by the way.

Bobby,

Nice Rendering! The adjustement definetly helpled.

Clinic

Thanks, I’ll post an update Monday so kep the comments coming. Maybe one more car and some more people?

Looks really good dude.

Really nice road texture.

The roof looks a little blurry and flat. i suggest turning of fhe bitmap blur and filtering for tha texture. maybe add some bump or displace to bring it out altitle more.

updated

updated clinic. I’ll be tweakink colors, but for the most part it is done unless you guys have anything.

spot on, very nice!

maybe some AA issues, but that might be the jpeg compression.

Very nice!!
Roof looks really good now… displacement??

Other than the obvious AA problems (but that could be due to the image resize) it looks spot on.
Nice one.

Clinic

The roof has a bump. I used MAX’s tile for the roof. The AA is off, what would be the best tweak in Vray that will not cost me that much render time?

For AA? I would try adaptive subdivision.. its usually quicker, and no AA filter. Just render out a small region without AA then with and see how the time compares.
Maybe try QMC AA it might well look better but take a little longer.

Clinic - Final

This is the final… thanks for the help.

Very nice.

For me tho, the sun could be abit stronger, as its not low enough to have that afternoon sun which is what it looks like.

I like it. AA worked well, was it much slower?

Clinic

I am not sure what I did to fix the jagged… I think I went to Lightcache. I used vraysun/sky and just pasted a sky into the alpha channel and made it 75% transparent. The vraysky ws about the same brighness.

Changing to LC shouldnt have affected the jaggies.. ah well atleast they are gone

Edited my last post. I meant the sun could be a little stronger, not that it was too strong.
But still good stuff

I do however prefer the roof of the previous post with the jaggies.
