Oh you’re correct on all counts, Clifton. That little bloody plugin is gonna hold up our upgrade.
Which is probably a good idea, considering it took two service packs for 8 to be totally stable.

Yeah, Max 9 just arrived in the post a couple days ago, but I decided to wait for a while before installing. I want to make sure I understand all the bugs and plugin problems before I do.

I assume the problem is having to upgrade VisualStudio, rather then just recompiling the plugin (for R9 you need VS 2005, where R8 was still VS 2001 or 2002).

Well, it appears he finally responded to the forum. Says he will be working on it but ‘Brazil’ development has been taking all his time.

Well, 64-bit is the one I think most people are looking forward to upgrade-wise. So there’s still a wait there.
