Color Mapping - change with a irradiance saved file

Hi friends,
I have some doubt with ColorMapping;
-If i render a scene with one config in colormapping (like linear) and save irradiance. If i change colorMapping to Exponencial and render scene with my saved irradiance map, my render image will be the same if i start calc. of irradiance in exponencial?

absolutely change your colormapping with a saved irradiance map. Its a great way to fine tune your lighting without having to recalc your irrad map. Obviously if you change lighting characteristics, then youll have to recalculate.
