I have a glass panel (a basic thin box). One side is standard vray glass mat, the other is a condensation map (the inside). The condensation is visible from the inside but when I do an exterior shot there is no sign of it. Ive tried turning on reflections on backside (i think thats what its called) but that doesnt work either. Surely this map should be visible from both sides..
What is condensation map??
Oh sorry…its just a texture map ive put in the bump slot of a vray mat to give the glass the look of condensation inside the room.
I would expect it to show, but you might want try that map in the reflection glossiness slot instead.
I’ll give that a go. I was pretty much just following Ronen Bekerman’s method for creating water droplets on a glass plain. 3D Water Drops by Bertrand Benoit - 3D Architectural Visualization & Rendering Blog
Try in F10>Vray>and then in (I cant remember name) general menu under displacement, there is I think force back face or something, try turn this on, or increase trace depth…
