When I did natty’s photon tutorial I converted it to meters and it came out like a cartoon. Then I went back and reopened the max file and left the settings at millimeters or what ever format he uses and it came out great.. then I tried to use the same settings on a project that I have done in meters and I only have a black screen with a few lights in it.
Do I just crank the numbers by 10 for the lights? If I want to use a vray light that is in a window to produce the photons… do I still give all the other lights the same settings?
my drawings are to scale in meters. It seems to be working now, so not sure what the problem was. When I did your tutorial after rescaling to meters I had to crank all the lights to 10 times the value or I just had a black scene. Is it just a matter of adjusting the lights and using the same settings? I know I said mine was working.. but not sure how?
Also, I posed a question in the general section, but can you tell me if I can use photon maps while creating a 360 panorama? I have tried and all the images have different exposures. Can I map one photon map and use it for all? The last problem is when the camera faces the exterior, I get no light on my Skydome.. so it looks like night..
The video is 4 mg. so I thought it would be easier to photos a image.
I also am having difficulty getting rid of the bloches and red paint on the cabinet.
I have marked the edges.. in the movie it is alot more noticible
Thanks
Michael
In this one you can see the outside on either edge.. all black When I render other cameras in the model some show daylight others do not,
