Cornerstone Release of Enscape (We want your feedback!)

Dear Forum Community,

We’re considering a dedicated “Cornerstone Release” of Enscape for users who need stability over the latest features. Tell us what you think.

We’ve been listening to your feedback about stability and the disruption that updates can sometimes cause, especially on long-running projects or large deployments. One idea we’re exploring is a Cornerstone Release: a version we commit to supporting with bugfixes for a defined period of time, without pushing new features that might change your workflow.

To be upfront about the tradeoffs:

  • A Cornerstone Release will only receive bugfixes. No new features.
  • It will not receive backported support for newly released CAD host versions (for example a new Revit or SketchUp release).
  • There will be one active Cornerstone Release at a time.
  • Because Enscape is a plugin, only one version can be installed per Windows user. Choosing the Cornerstone Release means that user will not be on the latest stream at the same time

Now is your chance to share your feedback via our active poll that you can access here: Enscape Cornerstone Release Poll

Thank you in advance to anyone who is participating!

If it’s an additional release (along with the current official and preview releases), that’s fine with me.
If you intend to replace the current releases with just Cornerstone, then no: I’d prefer everything stay as it is.

Will this version be an addition to the existing ones, the Stable and Preview versions? Or will one of them be removed?

I don’t see anything negative about having a version with longer support, as long as the current versions continue to be available.
