Corona 1.7 hotfix2 don't find node on distributed render

Hi all,
as from subject i can’t find my nodes when i click on “seaarch lan” button in workstation, but lan works well.
Can anyone help me?
It’s a problem for me becouse i had to end a job.

thanks

Did you try to ping your node? is it visible in network? Not blocking by firewall or OS(is allowed ICMPv4 for example)?

Thank you for replay.
yes i try ping and it’s ok, is visible in network and allowed, ipv4 it seems ok.
strange is, if i insert manually ip 192.168… seems works and whwn try to search again “seaarch lan” it disappear

If nodes cannot be found automatically, that could suggest:
-the connection (in any direction) is blocked by firewall/antivirus software (keep in mind that Windows Firewall / Defender / Security Essentials counts as well)
-the computers are on different subnets (“search lan” option works only on the same subnet, it uses UDP broadcast)

The solution for the above would be to enter the IP manually on the list.

Networking issues are very complex, and there is so many factors (e.g. specific router settings) that it is sometimes not possible for us to help. If you are working in a company and you have an “IT guy” or some kind of network administrator, the best idea would be to call him and provide him with the information I listed above.

Just a random idea: I had a similar problem in my home network, and after long time of tries and my head very close to exploding, I found out that resetting the wireless router settings to factory defaults solve the issue immediately.

I understand, the problem its no simple, for now i enter the ip manually, i can’t risk to block all, when i will have more free time i will try sometings.
thank you

It’s really hard to say, if you can ping both IP all should work, are you sure your firewall not block it? Both PC in the same subnetwork(192.168.1.x)?
you can try this command to reset network adapter settings
https://www.geeksinphoenix.com/blog/post/2015/06/16/how-to-reset-your-network-adapter-in-windows-10.aspx

netsh int ip reset
