Anyone else Max just die as soon as they press IR. Mine does. Or it takes absolutely ages to update. Then when it finally updates, if I resize the IR window my only escape is a Force Exit of Max. CPU usage hovers around 70% but nothing else happens
Edit: I’ve rolled back to V13, let me know when Hotfix 2 is out. Kinda frustrating that my renewal is due in a couple of days but looks like I’ll be staying on 13 for the foreseeable
You mean Hotfix 1? Either way, can you send in a minidump, which can be done in a lock up or freeze as well as on a crash, you can just force one - see https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4649117083409-How-to-report-issues-3ds-Max .

I was being facetious as that’s what we used to say about new releases of 3DS Max. It was never production ready until Hotfix/Service Pack 2 at a minimum.
Having said that, I noticed something last night after the 3rd force exit, I got a small CMD popup relating to Cosmos, it appeared then quickly disappeared, my scene does use Cosmos assets, so I’m now wondering if it was just some initial first launch hiccup while things were being downloaded?
