I’ve been using Corona Alpha 4.1 for a while and decided to give Alpha 5.1 a go. After installing Corona Alpha 5.1 the Corona menu from the Plugins menu disappears and so do the render settings option to choose Corona. It looks as if Corona is not installed. I’ve tried it on Cinema 4D R17.048 Broadcast and Cinema 4D R16.050 Broadcast running on Windows 10 with the same results. If I go back and install Corona Alpha 4.1 everything goes back to normal. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?
Can you, just to make sure, remove all the Corona-related dlls from C4D root folder, and “corona” folder from “plugins”, and then re-install Corona A5.1?
Cleaning the C4D Plugins as well as the Root folder.
Installing the 5.0 version first.
Then installing the 5.1 version over the 5.0 version. (Without clean previous ticked)
This works and Corona now shows up in the C4D.
Seems like this is more a patch then a full release and you need to have a version of Corona installed before.
I downloaded the installer but it gives me a message that a previous version is installed, to remove it first and then install again, I went and removed the previous version but the installer still doesn’t work now when I try to open cinema 4d I get this message..the program can’t start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer.
help!!!
SOLUTION:
ok guys finally got it working, here are the steps in case anybody has the same issues I had.
When I tried to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 it gave me an error and I could not install it, so then I found I had to update Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 so I downloaded it but this one also gave me an error installing, so then I found I had to update on my windows 8.1 pro this file KB2919355-X64, so after downloading it did the update no problem!! after that I run the .NET frame work it installed no problem and finally did the update suggested by the corona team on this post and did the update no issues and FINALLY got CORONA Alpha 5.1 working!!!
Ive got the same issue with r17 Studio.
for me
“Cleaning the C4D Plugins as well as the Root folder.
Installing the 5.0 version first.
Then installing the 5.1 version over the 5.0 version. (Without clean previous ticked)”
did not work.
