Corona BumpConverter does not work with Use Real-World Scale

Hi everyone,
I am a beginner with corona.
I am trying to apply a bump to a wall material. Bump is plugged into Corona BumpConverter. Seems to work fine when used as normal UVW scaling, but when I turn on Use Real-World Scale both BumpConverter map preview and rendered image become flat color.

Hi,

Regarding preview in material editor, it’s a known issue, but it’s not specifically related to Corona, it’s general 3ds Max issue. As for why your texture doesn’t render when real-world mapping is enabled, it’s likely because of scaling mismatch - your object’s UVs has to be scaled to real-world size too, it’s not enough to simply enable RW in material alone.

I just tested this myself, He is correct that it is broken. A map that uses real world scale does not work when plugged into bump converter.

The plane on the right uses real world map size with a map size set to 4m x 4m . the left regular planar mapping set to 4m x 4m.

Would love to see this addressed, and to be honest not sure how I haven’t personally noticed this before.

Hi, increasing strength for CoronaBumpConverter should fix the issue with RWS, however I am not sure if this expected so please stay posted until we get some further clarification from the team.

Wild! Good to know how to work around it in the mean time, thanks George.
