Hi, I’ve always found a bit confusing the way you need to configure Corona in order to set the override environment in black if you want to replace the background in Post, the confusion comes in interior or semi outdoor scenes when you have glass objects and need to enable refractions or reflections override depending the scenario.
It would be great to have something much simpler, like Direct visibility would take care of everything, like V-Ray does, where you just set the V-Ray Dome light to “invisible” and thats it, could it be possible?
Not directly with environment visibility overrides, but there are render background improvements coming with next preview build. Stay tuned to try it out.
Hi, thanks I know that, but I always confuse… let better say I always forget to activate one of those for interior scenes, specially when theres a window and there are objects which reflects background and I didnt notice the sky is visible in my tests till rendering in full rez.
I loved the addition in camera settings but still would be easier if we can only turn onn/off 1 single option like im proposing
If what you want is a button to activate or deactivate options in anything 3ds max, my recomendation is to create a maxscript for that. these days you do not need to know maxscript anymore thanks to AI. (for maxscripts I recommend Claude AI).
I apreciate your help, but what I want its a simpler way to configure the background, a single option that disables the background visibility for Direct, refl and refr, simple as that.
I dont want to depend on AI when this is something that developers should analize and improve, even if I create a script that enables those options with 1 button, or even better I could leave them as default with max settings, I still wont know when I should leave them on/off,
There are a lot of things that I hate on how Corona works (still I use it for work) and always ask for improvements, thats what we users should do if we want a better tool, not to conform with how the things are which I have noticed from a lot of Corona users.
