Corona installed but not appearing in Cinema4Dr19 (MacOS)

Hi all,
I downloaded the beta and went through the install process, but couldn’t find the plugin in either the menu or the customisation area. I came across these forum threads:

https://forum.corona-renderer.com/ Corona not showing in C4D R18 macOS #msg106550
https://forum.corona-renderer.com/ Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D, Beta 1 doesnt work with C4D R19 #msg117254

I have followed all of the the recommendations:

  • Have done a custom install
  • Have ensured corona plugin is in the applications/maxon/r19/plugins directory
  • Have ensured corona plugin is in the application ~Library/preferences/Maxon/r19_xxx/plugins directory
  • Have removed all plugins from both plugin areas above to see if another plugin is interfering with startup

Result:

  • Have looked in the customise area, not found
  • Not appearing in toolbar
  • Not visible in select renderer dropdown

I’m not getting an error on startup, the plugin just isn’t appearing.

MacOS High Sierra, 10.13.3
Cinema4Dr19.24

Thanks all, I hope I haven’t reposted a repeat query - search only returns the forum threads above on searches related to this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Jonathan

If you have a “corona” folder inside “plugins” in your C4D root directory, then I am afraid this will require intervention from one of our C4D developers.

Hi, can you show us the output of C4D when you run it in commandline, as suggested by Nik in one of the links that you posted:

Thanks for the replies guys - really simple error in the end.

There was a duplicate install of Cinema4D on this machine, one for all user profiles, one for the user profile I was logged into. I added the Corona plugin to the user profile version of the plugin directory - and it’s now running.

Thanks for the help all.

Cheers
