Why am I seeing a coronamaterials.com watermark on my images? I downloaded some materials from there, but I can’t understand what that has to do with a watermark on my images? I’m not even using any of those materials in my current scene, and even if I was, how and why is there a mechanism to display that on the render output? The materials themselves are not copyrighted or something, right?

There should be no any watermarks.
All you need is just open file with material, paste it to your file (copy/paste to file script is recommended) and take material with the picker.
