Possibility of accessing cosmos with live link

The following actions cannot be done inside Chaos Vantage during Live Link:

  • transform objects;
  • hide/unhide objects;
  • reassign materials;
  • edit lights;
  • import external(including cosmos assets) files;
  • animation playback.

This is so because such changes cannot be returned to the host application through Live Link. If we allow for example adding cosmos assets in Vantage, while in Live Link, that asset will only be visible in Vantage. You can add cosmos and other assets dirеctly in your application and they will render in Vantage. Can you list specific advantages of being able to add cosmos assets directly in Vantage instead of the host application?

In archviz, the idea is to work in Live Link on buildings, terrain… to prepare and modify the 3D model, materials…

And use Cosmos objects on Vantage (cars, people, vegetation, furniture…).

This will lighten the viewport on 3DS (for large projects) and speed up LiveKink transfer between 3DS and Vantage.
