I have this all he time for both Phoenix FD and V-Ray. Normally it helps to restart the session and in some cases a reboot is required. Very annoying on situations when a customer is rushing with his renderings.

If you use a dongle - try a clean reinstall of the dongle drivers - Chaos Licensing
Also - make sure you’re using the latest license server.
