Hello,

would like to ask how can I create materials like this.

They are created from wooden texture. On them are applied thin coloured coating and wooden textures are still visible.
I also need to know RGB number of those colours to be able specify them and have under control colour harmony of my interiors.

Thank you.

As a quick solution I would use the color multiplier and for the effect of a thicker paint I would add a little bit of the color to the offset.

The RGB value you get per image editor and the pipette tool.

And a more correct way to mix the color with the wood would be to use a Mix(value) texture based on the color and the wood texture. So you could adjust between 100% and 0% paint color.

Is the Mix (Value) option working also in V-ray for Rhino? Or is it working just in Blender?

Hello @vaclav_simecek ,
Thank you for posting your question.

Apart from what Micha suggested I would like to point you out to the Coat material layer. Here you can find documentation with examples: [V-Ray for Rhino](https://docs.chaos.com/display/VRHINO/Generic+Coat)

It allows for more control such as color itself, amount and reflection:

Also answering your question:

> Is the Mix (Value) option working also in V-ray for Rhino? Or is it working just in Blender?

In V-Ray 7 for Rhino, the Simple Mix, Mix (Value), Mix (Operator) and Mix (Map) textures are no longer available. They are replaced by the Layered texture: [https://docs.chaos.com/display/VRHINO/Layered](https://docs.chaos.com/display/VRHINO/Layered)

@natalia_gruzdova
Thank you for the simple technique that works great!
