its possible that “cropped” rendering won’t work with VFB?
i’ve try’d on two machines, the first crashed everytime, the second ignored it totally and renderd the howle image.

It seems like any of the “region” type rendering modes go screwy when using the VFB - Atleast when using 1.47.03 anyhow.
u have to set the max frame buffer to the same dimension of the vray fb… 
Well isn’t that why the vray frame buffer tab has a checkbox that says, “Get resolution from MAX” ? And I do have that option checked when these distortions occur.

have to check…though i now for a fact thet to render region correctly in Vray FB the max should have the same size…no prob using the get resolution from max either…

I’m having no problem with region or blowup rendering to the VFB… perhaps your image size is just too large for frame buffer rendering?

That is very strange. I am doing a region render in the VBF right now. I
do this nearly everyday. No problems here.

jonney, which version of Vray are you using again? Like I mentioned earlier, I’m running 1.47.03 and like clockwork whenever I render in anything other then “view” mode, the VFB doesn’t interpret it correctly - even without DR or network rendering at all. I hope this same issue hasn’t propogated it’s way into 1.5 :roll:
1.49.74. don’t know, its fixed in 1.5?
This is already corrected for the next RC.
