Thanks guys for the compliments. It’s all modelling as I’m not the best texture map/displacement person. Lighting is pure HDR and nothing else. I didn’t even have to post-process it.

As for the concept- unless it was completely on a subconcious level, I’ve never seen it before. Speaking of which, I haven’t set foot in a record store for years. The idea came to me when I woke up Friday morning because I hate Valentine’s day commercialism. My initial image was going to be Cupid putting an arrow through somebody’s head at point-blank range but that would’ve been too much modelling work for the time-frame.
I’m completely embarassed cause I hate that lame-ass punk band (no offense to anyone.) At least I can say my execution was rather different. Now I’m gonna go hide my head somewhere…
[edit - I have to emphasize that I really hate that band.]

It’s completely fair to imply that someone is stealing someone else’s idea - I’m glad you’re upfront because other people may be thinking the same thing. The last thing I would want is for someone to take my idea.
In my defense - if I did borrow the idea, I wouldn’t have gone after someone so popular and claim that the concept was my own. Secondly, if it was intentional I would give credit where credit is due (as I have no problem doing that.) Thirdly, I hate that freakin pop group and all things associated with it. Seeing that it is none of the above, I think it’s just boils down to pure freaky coincidence.
