Reposted from New Preview Version (that thread is a little crowded… good sign for Enscape
With the latest preview 2.4.2.3147… I keep getting the message. “Your Graphics Card is Outdated”
I am currently using 398.36.
The error message sends me to enscape’s requirements page that cites 390.77 as a requirement.
What is the current driver requirement?
Thanks!
When I switched to the PREVIEW (as you did)… I got the OUTDATED DRIVER message also.
I updated the driver, but it KILLED the rest of my system.. SLOOOOWWWWW…
I dumped the preview and rolled back the driver…
Hey @renderwiz and @DGD-Duane , my apologies for the delayed response. Are you two still experiencing these problems even when using our latest release? Kindly let me know if so.
Also, @renderwiz , you should be able to make use of the latest drivers accordingly - let me know if the message still appears even after updating to our latest version.
I see you have updated the website to say that the Minimum Driver Requirements are:
The latest available drivers
Is that correct?
I have never used a software that required me to install a new driver every time one comes out.
It looks like gtx drivers are released 1 to 2 times a month.
Do I really need to install a new one every time one is released?
Thanks!
@renderwiz , Enscape should generally work without any problems when you’re using at least our Recommended Graphics card drivers, it’s just that we recommend to have the latest installed, but it’s not a must.
We’ll adjust the page to make that more clear, thanks!
Yes.. .I am now just ignoring the WARNING and things are working just fine.
@Demian_Gutberlet
Thanks for the clarification. Very glad to hear you are not Requiring the latest drivers.
Fyi, I was viewing the page…
https://enscape3d.com/knowledgebase/system-requirements
Under Minimum Requirements…and stopped reading after "The latest available drivers…"
…did not notice the “…or our recommended drivers”
