Why are the top 4 recesses darker than the rest? They are all identical and the areas around them are too.
IRR map first bounce on Medium and LC on second bounce.

check your normals…
also there could be something blocking the gi, unlikely though.
Or double faces.
looks like coplaner faces to me change your secondary ray bias to.01 and see if that clears it up
Is there a script or utility that checks for coplaner faces. We model in Autocad and this issue always crops up…rendering with raytrace secondary bias lower than 0, creates other issues.
Please advise
Vivek
there is a script somewhere try www.scriptspot.com
are you modelling in solids in autocad?
it’s not there anymore, I thought it was one of bobos, if anyone does dig it up could you post a link for us, thanks.
for a quick fix change the secondary ray bias to like .01 (can help for stills)
Well I haven’t looked into this, but, I wonder if it’s because the light is coming from the right behind that stair tower. So, maybe its the shadow from the roof falling onto the back of that rendered panel, which in turn reduces the gi back on to the recesses.
I will try putting an inner lining to that render panel and turn off receive shadows.
We have this issue with some of our models that are imported from autocad also.
A script would be appreciated! ![]()
