Default Materials in Material Editor

Starting Sketchup with nothing in it, just axes.
Open VRay Materail Editor and see these materials there:
- <DarkKhaki>
- <LightGray>
- <Beige>2
- <Charcoal>
- <DimGray>
- <Burnt Umber>1
- jean blue
- Material1
- White

Why all these materials when there’s nothing in Sketchup?
Is it some kind of default materials or what?

Thanks

Re: Default Materials in Material Editor

When you delete components and groups in SketchUp, their layers and materials still remains. You must Purge the model to get rid of all unused content.

Golden Rule of SketchUp - Purge often!

Re: Default Materials in Material Editor

This is because the template you use is for Architectural and the template contains the default “Man” with a blue jeans and these materials belong to this man.
But try using the template for Woodworking and see the material editor you will see nothing, it’s empty.
