Demo File?

Alex,

do you have any 3dsmax + vray scene file we could use for a Demo?
Like a product shot of a car, or something similar?

I would like to use one Demo Scene for further testing.
I thought about a Studio shot similar like you can see here:

What you think?
Anything you could provide as a start?

I would like to run a lot of tests exporting the .vrscene into Vray Unreal.

Would be really cool!
Please let me know your thoughts and how we could work together on this!

cheers,
Bernhard

If not available already I would also appreciate some form of reference scene in 3ds max/vray format and then the corresponding ready scene in Unreal. I’ve done some tests previously but can’t seem to get my renders from within Unreal to quite match those from Max/Vray in terms of brightness/colors etc. Something to help verify the workflow would be most welcome.

Hi, guys

We have a couple of tutorials and a demo scene that you can download from the quick start guides here:Intro importing .vrscene. There is also a webinar available here:Webinar V-Ray for Unreal and another one is coming soon.

Best regards,
Alexander

Everything I read nowadays is Unreal, so I guess it is inevitable I have to get there. I have seen some incredible things come from it, but I have yet to talk to someone who has made the jump after trying hard to do so. My assumption is most of the things I see are months and month of work and not practical for the average man’s project budget. I am working on an animation and the hours going into it is insane, considering my low-resolution rough proof animation passes are taking 12 hours. I am seeing remarkable things from Unreal that say animation times are minutes and not days. How far away are we from exporting from V-Ray and importing into Unreal without practically starting over in Unreal?

Thank you Alex!

all the mentioned videos and projects I already knew. That didn’t quite cut it!
It would be cool to have a demo file like the car I showed you.
Something absolute photo real - a studio setup with a product as a starting point.

have a great weekend,
cheers

Is there a Max version of this scene available? I’ve been following the step by step and am able to replicate the scene, but if I start with my own max file I can not seem to get the same results. I’d like to be able to see what the Max file looks like to see if I can figure out what’s going on.

Thank you!

Hi, Chad

The demo files have been updated and the max have has been added in the VRayInteriorDemo_20180319.zip. Please redownload it here:Intro Importing.

Best regards,
Alexander

Great! Thank you!

@Bobby:
