I’m using vay denosier to denoise. After rendering. But I don’t see any big difference in filtered and non-filtered images.
please help what i’m missing here.
Would it be possible also the send us the scene for investigation?
The settings looks fine at first glance, I did a quick test on a very simple scene and can confirm that they work fine.
There might be something in the scene or perhaps in the Denoiser settings that prevents Denoiser to do its job properly.
Don’t know why I cannot download the file from neither of the both links you send us.
This is what I get when tried from the first one:
And this is from the second one:
I think I figure it out, the scene uses the old sampling method which is not suitable for denoising and even though it kinda works the result is not correct.
Please either reset the whole Render Settings by selecting the Defalut Settings from here:
Or if you would like to keep the settings but just update the sampling method execute the following MEL command: setAttr vraySettings.dmcAdaptiveMethod 1
Resetting the settings helped. Now I think I’m getting much better outputs. But this make me ask this
Was it because the settings I did using 3.4 older version ?. But now as I’m using 3.5 which shows a drastic change in the results.
The scene file I shared was working on 3.4 and the settings for that looked pretty good, as I went back and forth through the tutorials and documentations. But yes, the output taken on the older version looked the same as I shared.
Please share if I’m missing something.

I think the dmcAdaptiveMethod (from the script line from Svetlozar) is something that was introduced with V-Ray 3.3 and later, so the scene you had with 3.4 must have originally come from 3.3 or older version.
If you do have concerns about different renders, do share some images/scenes with us and we’ll have a look.
scene was created in 3.4 only but was not getting proper results with denoiser so updated vray to 3.5. After which I had just changed the setting as mentioned in below messages. which did solved the issue in 3.5.
But still the incorrect output from 3.4 version though the setting for the version looked good.
