Nice mood. Reminds me the voice in the “Reservoir Dogs” movie.
Best regards,
nikki Candelero
Really nice work, great mood as Nikki said. Did you come up with the concept, or was it dictated by the production company? Do you do much of this type of work?
Andrew.
thanx armilla, i made the concept and execution yes, but the Voice Over was written by narrated by the Director and provided to me to work with.
you can check my website to see the stuff i do.
Very well done.
When will the entire documentary be released and where?
pretty cool dude
thanx guys, im not sure yet when itll be out, its still in production. i hope soon!
well i officially ask you how much you cost so that i can have you never further than 5 meters from me when working for inspiration, HOW MUCH !? always loved your work, this one is no exception, congratulations
90 sec /frame for grain-free production, that’s impressive, no use of GI i guess ? I’m really curious about the envirronment of the scene, maybe you can give some setup info, not everything, that won’t be fair to ask, it’s your work.
congrats again, lauching your 2005 reel another time, help me breath after my boring days at work  powerpoint, microsoft word  did i study 3D…
Keep up your magistral work
hehe, lets not talk about money ![]()
no GI (tried it but nearly no visual difference), 3 omni’s, HDRI, and some designy furniture around the table, thats it
thank you, do you realize all your work in vray generally ? I discovered your site some monthes ago and i was really :o so inspiring stuff. Hope to see you posting more often by here,

erhm…how did you do the hologram
ah yeah the mtv one looks great, well great, bouhouhouh it rocks …, thanks for checking my stuff, those are getting old, soon gonna update my site.
If i can abuse of your kindness, in this clip (sojitz) http://www.renascent.nl/m56.htm how do you make lines creating themselves from zero ? is that a plugin, a sort of trapcode 3d stroke for max ? been looking for ages to do that, i can make something moving along a a spline, but it’s not creating itself (hope i sound clear)… think there was the same sort of effect in last U2 clip.
Well i stop, i won’t wanna kill your thread,
thank you very much
particle flow and some magic ![]()
now ive given away enough trade secrets ![]()
don’t need more
thank you, i was almost kinda sure it was related to it.
good continuation for all your works
I’m curious to know on the Mercedes animation how you achieve that chrome look. Mostly, how do you setup your reflections?
Not that I want to speak for Joost, but most of the time making chrome, glass and any other really reflective object look good is all down to giving them something interesting to reflect. This could be something really simple like a subtle gradient or a more complicated hdri map.
Here’s a set of photographs showing a car shoot and the environment is a simple brown fabric with the lights adding simple gradients of colour which give a bit more interest in the reflections:

Here’s a tutorial by neil blevins that goes through a few things about reflective and glossy surfaces. It’s based around the scanline and brazil but the knowedge works with vray the same way.
yup connell speaks the truth, hehe
Those links were very helpful. Thanks!
