dictatorial hdri

hello! it’s strange, there’s always a hdri lighting the scene, and it’s nowhere to be found… does anyone recognize it?

What is the question, can you elaborate? All I see is bunch of very pixelated pillars.

well, everything in the scene is inactive, but if I run a render, this image (probably an hdr image) is visible; if I make the objects “active”, they’re illuminated, even though all the light sources are unchecked… so, where is this hdri (the image with columns), and how do I remove it???

you can see that everything in the scene is inactive, there’s no light, and yet this hdri continues to illuminate it…but where is it?

here’s the whole scene, with no lights at all (the sun in the background is just a photo in the mountain scenery). everything should be black. black screen… well no, this mysterious hdr, like Zorro, intervenes!

I know it’s not much help to your issue, but i think it’s “Uffizi” HDRI from ancient Debevec free probes.

I think you’re right, Roomullus… it’s often linked to old materials for c4d corona, … But it seems to stay as a ghost! how to delete it!

and curiously, afer deleting the “uffizi hdr” in texture manager (clear texture), the render is always lighted…

What happens when you merge your objects into a fresh scene, is it still there?

Hi Celmar,

Have you checked the Corona render settings and ‘Scene environment’ to see if there is anything that could be lighting the scene in there?

That normally catches me out.

I was also thinking that maybe you have some environment set in Render Settings or in the active Camera (if it’s a Corona Camera).

thank you for your help!!! but, well, it seems to be another thing; I have done a lighted version of the scene, zipped, but it’s again 460960 ko. there is a way to upload it?

You can attach huge files to our support tickets: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
