Looks really nice.
However the first image (atleast) could use a hit of my S-Curve in PS to make the colors abit richer and lessen the greyness.
Looks great tho.
DaForce you mention this S-curve quite often that you own. What is it and how can we buy one? :_)
nice images HAWF. they have a very nice well lit look to them
Well not “own” as such. But more “found out” “invented” “brought to the masses”
hehehe ![]()
Nice, but it missing postwork. Some slight dof+glow+glare and some contrast.
‘found out’ is a little strong, isnt it? ive heard countless people talking about it before I started using this forum.
But yeah, nice images
I’d have expected his interiors to be a little more minimal after seeing some other things he’s designed though.
hahah yeah I guess its abit strong. But I hadnt ever seen it outside of here. And most people here knew nothing of it.
Certainly found it out myself tho.
Niiiiice carpet… hints?
Awesome. Detailing on the couch and cushions and blanket thing are very very good.
And, oh yeah, let’s crucify DaForce for trying to help/
Thanks for the comments guys!
DaForce, I have saved it here, “your” preset is very nice. ![]()
pailhead, this is the map I used as displacement map. ![]()

Yeah I did a little searching and seems when I stumbled upon “my s-curve” one day while playing in PS, it seems it was already a fairly well know method in PS.
So yeah, I will no long refer to it as “my” I honestly thought I had found something unknown but I guess I was wrong.
Just trying to help
When I was working for one photographic studio, I saw that the guys used a lot there. But, I began to use after see your posts here in the forum.
I don’t think there’s a problem if it is your or not, but help us a lot. Thanks for advising. ![]()
No problem, glad to help.
I guess I brought it to peoples attentions for fixing “grey” images often from LWF.
Will continue to advertise it.. but just stop refering to it as mine.. i think thats best ![]()
Where could I find a screenshot of the “DaForce S-Curve®” settings???
Well you could search and get some nice example images as well, were the s-curve has worked wonders.
But here is a basic image of what it look like.
But it all depends on the image. you may need to move the points more or less.
But it WILL remove greyness, and enhance the colors wonderfully ![]()
Hmmm…
Would I need do do that “search in the future” thing again?
8) 8) 8)
(thanks for the info!)
lol … I should have worded it “in the future, please search first”
Either way, the s-curve is a VERY handy little tool. That and abit of bloom is usually all a good render needs to be finalised.
sorry for questioning the origins of the magic, unshit button ‘s-curve’. I’ll definitely be trying it out, thanks for sharing. I remember seing you mention it before but wasnt sure about where you apply it or what the settings are for the curve - so the screenshot clarifies this
It seems the topic has been s-curveinated though ![]()
haha it has indeed been s-curveinated.
My appolgies HAWF ![]()
