Disappointed with VR quality

HI,

My hardware set up is

HTC Vive pro

Intel Core i9-9960X – 16-core

GeForce RTX™ 2080 Ti TURBO 11GB

ASRock Fatality X299 Prof XE i9

64GB Ram

I am working with boats and models up in 5GB. I am really disappointed with the quality in VR. I have done the reduced resolution trick from 100% to 50% and helped abit . Is there any thing fundamental im not doing that will help? With a budget of 2,000 to 3,000 euros will a new graphics card help?

Also in speed does have blocks in rhino help? I see the whole scene is exported and meshed so wonder if im wasting time doing objects that are repeated as blocks.

Appreciated any tips on improving quality weather it be hardware, settings or workflow.

@liamwoolley , welcome to our Forum - Do I get you correctly, your projects are about 5GB large in size? If so, then it should definitely help to also reduce the overall complexity of the scene or (temporarily) disable/remove objects you don’t require for the VR tour. Before doing that, you can also simply try dialling down the “Rendering Quality” in the first tab of our Visual Settings if you have not tried that yet.

Please also make sure that your graphics card drivers are fully up to date, and that you’re using our latest Enscape release too.

Also, the RTX 2080 Ti is already a very decent card of course, about similar in performance to the RTX 3070 - Still, if budget allows, then a 3080, 3080 Ti or even a 3090 would definitely help with overall performance as well, especially if the steps above did not help.

Thankdsfor the reply. I justed upgraded to a 3090 RTX card and the quality dropped?? Any thoughts why?

I have an Aorus 3090 RTX, when i downloaded through nvidia its suggested a different driver then Aorus. Downloading the one from Aorus solved the problem. Now works fantastic
