Hi all,
I set dynamic memory as low as 200megs, but my displacement grass still crashes vray…
Turning displacement off for that material solves the crashes.
Is dynamic memory management not affecting displacement?
I thought dynamic mem would also work with displacement micro-triangles…

are you displacing an autocad mesh?

No Autocad, but revit mesh (DWG).
Now that I think of it, the meshes I am displacing using the 2D modifier are fine, another series of meshes I am displacing unsing the displace slot in the vray material may be the ones that crash vray…
Having to apply the displ mod is a pain, sometimes, because whe I update the DWG, some (old) elements will have the modifie, some (new) elements will not, althought they will have the same material…
Is there a way to select all istances of an instanced modifier? that would help…
I will try 2D displ. and see if I can render…
