can anyone tell me why only the first tree is rendered well?

As I am not able to reproduce this, can you verify you are using our latest release and have a recent GPU driver installed.
If that doesn’t resolve this, can you tell me if this is only happening in a single project or in multiple projects for you?
Please also send in a feedback report including the log files via the Enscape Feedback Button, and add my name and a link to this thread in the description.
I’m not an experienced user so take this advice with a grain of salt.
- Check your fog settings and either turn it to 0 or keep it very low.
- Try adding a ground plane with a texture, Enscape
likesloves to disregard things that are not directly within the screenspace/camera view. - Adjust the camera field of view(?) This is just a shot in the dark, not sure if it will affect anything to be honest.
- Minimize the reflectivity of the leaf material. Glossy leaves are nice but generally not noticeable at a distance.

Yes, im using the latest version od Enscape, also i have installed latest GPU drivers - its nvidia gameready drivers… is it possible that installing “studio” drivers could change anything?
It happens in every project when i want to use several trees or bushes and it doesn’t matter if it’s native enscape tree or dowloaded from website (f.ex. globeplants)
it seems there is a problem with calculating sun and shadows when there’s a lot of polygons with opacity map in the model
i’ve sent in a feedback report including the log files via the Enscape
I need to solve this problem, i like the software much but this is unacceptable…

Thank you for the additional info, I have also received your feedback report and will respond to you there, once there are any updates I will also update this thread.
I have the same problem. I figured it had to do with the distance to the camera, so the details will not render through when the objects are further away. I was hoping that it might be rendered out when exporting an image, but that was not the case. Hoping there will be a way to override this soon, as this makes it impossible to create sun studies.
I have advised with our developers, and this is currently expected behavior. It’s actually not the (direct light) shadow of the tree that’s missing, but the indirect lighting that is not blocked correctly. This is because we have a fixed budget of triangles that we use for ray tracing indirect illumination (100k triangles for software ray tracing, 250k triangles for HW ray tracing with RTX).
When the camera is further away it will first unload rather high poly geometry like the trees. Unfortunately there’s no straightforward workaround, however they noticed that the camera had a very low field of view (which equals a zoom), which increases the effect as you usually move the camera further away with such a low field of view.
Additionally, as I noticed that you had the auto-exposure turned off, this effect seems to be increased somewhat.
However the effect should not be as visible in capturings, as the triangle budget is doubled then.
