When I open old files containing Distance Tex, they are not rendered in GPU.
It works in CPU.
What do I need to do or change to make it work in GPU?
Let’s take the example of the file in this tutorial:

Thanks. It’s due to a known issue (internal tracker ID: VGPU-5789) with VRayDistanceTex + VRayCompTex. The workaround is to replace the VRayCompTex with a 3ds Max native Composite (in the tutorial’s case: two layers where the top one is set to multiply). Attaching the fixed scene.

Thanks. Is a fix planned soon?
Not particularly, but I’m gonna talk to the product manager to prioritize it.
I opened a support ticket (Request #445801) because I have another material configured with “3ds Max native Composite” that does not work on the GPU but works perfectly on the CPU.
Thanks for the provided files. There’s an unsupported node “CoronaSelect” in the shader network, which is not supported on the GPU. There’s a warning about it.
Thank you.
Is there an equivalent for V-Ray of CoronaSelect ?
We do not have such a map, but there are probably hacky ways of doing something similar (a multisubtex, for example, where you randomize a single map)
We are looking into this now
Best,
