Distributed Rendering - some buckets give wierd result

I have set up a render farm with four nodes. Everything works great except sometimes the slaves render without texture and with wierd colors and some times it render perfect. It seems like this occures random for all nodes.

All paths are in UNC and no firewalls are on.

What could be the problem?

Can at least anyone tell me if this is a Vray problem / max problem or server problem?

In your .max file, hit Shift-T and refresh. Notice anything inconsistent or weird in the paths?

I have the same Problem in the last few months. I don’t know what the solution can be…Everything seems to be ok at all of a sudden comes the explosion…It is already annoying…

I noticed that in the last vray version we now need to add the local computer to the server list (as far as I remember I did not add it in the past wihtout problem). If we don’t add it now the local computer create black buckets randomly.

Adding the local computer did not help. When using “Vray universal settings” the problem seems to go away more often. I will keep troubleshooting…

I tested another scen and I only had problem with two buckets and ONE texture. I did a close up on that material and it rendered fine!

Did this ever get resolved? I am having the same issue.

Hi,
I’m having same issue here too, just upgraded to Vray 2.0 and the render nodes during DR just miss out some of the textures and render plain colour. Most are fine.
All paths are UNC to a central maps library.

Any resolutions please?

I think I have solved my issue. it seems in the service properties I need to add log in details of an account with admin rights.
So far so good.

Don’t know why this is the case, maybe it our network setup but if some one could confirm if this works for them it would clarify.
