Distributed rendering

Hi all,

Dr Server is ON on slave machine
Corona render launched from workstation

Distribution is doing great expect, once render is done, some areas in the image are different. Like a chair appears transparent, some weird squares appears on walls. Those kind of creative artefact.

Any idea why?

Transparent objects usually point to an asset being available to one machine, but not available to another. This results in one machine rendering with the chair, the other rendering without it because it can’t access the asset, and end result is a “ghost” chair when both images are combined.

Be sure that each machine either has a copy of all objects, in the same file structure; or if assets are on a networked drive, that both machines have access to that network location; etc.

This usually means that the render node is unable to access some files such as textures or proxies. The solution is to make sure that they are available to all computers taking part in DR. It’s best to use UNC paths - https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4528067382417

Yep, thanks again.

Railclone and Forest not installed on 3ds max slave machine

Again thanks, Yep.

Not really conveniant…fstorm is easier. Just a slave acting as a slave.
