Do you need Pdplayer to utilize LightSelect element properly?

It does not seem possible to simply layer the render element in photoshop and get the same flexibility. Am I wrong?

You just need to add the elements together; not sure what the proper PhotoShop blending mode for this is, but it should be doable.
