Well I do
So now I’m almost finished implementing pause in one small program- -so by pressing a hotkey you can pause your render and do smth else Then when you wish to - just press it once more and WOILLA you got it render again from the place you left it
So it’s almost done. Now trying to make hotkeys work… Global hook… Damn
But if you don’t THAT need hotkeys - i think it’s possible to share it today
P.S. We’ll pause whole 3ds max process (!). It’s not that you press pause in 3ds max and render pauses. NO. You pauses whole 3ds max process with render and all that stuff. But you can resume max (render resumes too) to continue working after a breake (for example Counter-Strike or Doom3 or etc.). It was written in Delphi for myself with huuuge help from my friend, who works on GREAT Prog for Maya and MentalRay (there will be comfortable render-log viewer (possibly will implement too), pause and much more ). So just a few hours and it will be ready (without hotkeys, sorry - it’s hard for me to implement. I’m a noob in coding. This prog was just done for my comfortable CS playing while keeping max READY to render again) So STAY TUNED
Well Seems it’s like this version won’t run without too many files on board Will continue to find out… WTF

It’s a MUST have for this alpha release. just put it to system32 folder (or in root folder)
So this is the first stable version of Maxs.
Features:
Pause/Resume 3ds Max
(Acts like a global pause - so you can’t even move frozen process. You want playing/watching a movie/etc in the middle of render process - it’s not a problem - just press pause in Maxs and 3ds max freezes. Press Resume - and max will continue it’s work)
Change 3ds Max priority
(Almost done)
VRay log viewer
(Not implemented yet)
Hotkey system
(Not implemented at all. for now)
Maybe smth more
Installation
Just double click on Maxs.exe and look at the tray Right-click -=- options.
hi!!
interesting
I have Norton Antivirus 2005 with definitions updated 5 sec. ago - still
no virus found, and this small program really works great (so far tested on a simple scene)
My quess is that your antivirus considered same part of the files code as too similar to a virus. It happens. On the other hand you might be right - so my quess is to wait for someone with some other antivirus soft, to test it again.
Open Registry Editor.
Click Start>Run, type REGEDIT, then press Enter.
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Run
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry: Microsoft Update = “EXPLORE.EXE”
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>RunServices
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry: Microsoft Update = “EXPLORE.EXE”
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>System>CurrentControlSet>Control>SessionManager>Known16DLLs
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry: Microsoft Update = “EXPLORE.EXE”
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Run
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry: Microsoft Update = “EXPLORE.EXE”
Close Registry Editor.
why are you getting beat out of shape? Most here dont know you from adam, and to release an executable that goes into your windows/system32 folder is enough, myself included, to be very careful about downloading it. Is anyone saying your maliciously releasing a virus? no, but I think everyone gets tired of hearing about virus’s all the time and are just being careful.
I’m not a cry-baby and I knew that this virus-mania possibly affect my prog… Will try to do my best to make a hotkey and priority change (I need a feedback)
Well It’s not an executables -=- it’s dll’s (dynamic link libraries)
Libraries (in alpha stage. in my package, smb ripped off the forum )
borlndmm.dll -=- Borland Memory Manager
CC3260MT.DLL -=- Borland C++ Multi-thread RTL (WIN/VCL MT)
rtl60.bpl -=- Borland Component Package
Exe file… Seems like I can’t prove it’s viruses free… Just I don’t have’em
