Does Chaos Envision have a way to have a rendered site context? Similar to D5 Pro and their integrated use of Cesium?

hi everyone! i wanted to know if there was a way to get a rendered site context? my firm and i are trying to do a “drone shot” animation without actually getting a drone of the existing site context. but anyways, is there a way to do that with envision? i noticed in the youtube video titled “Envision lets you render anything – In real time” features an angled ariel scope of a city, was that build brick by brick or is there a built in feature in envision that can do do a rendered site context?

thank you!

Hi, you can use the Site Context feature in Enscape, and then live link to Envision. The feature is rather simple though (no textures), so I will check if we have a better solution and will let you know.

Adding a product perspective to Marcin’s answer: this is something something we hear a lot! Today the Enscape Site Context feature gives you massing geometry you can live-link into Envision, but as noted it doesn’t yet come with photoreal textures, so it’s better for context massing than for a convincing aerial “drone” shot. However, with the Veras in Envision integration you can very quickly and easily turn that massing geometry into gorgeous, detailed site context! (You can use the Veras integration in Enscape to the same effect of course, but since your question was regarding Envision, I linked that article :slightly_smiling_face: ).

That being said, we are currently working on a richer, more detailed site context feature in Envision. I unfortunately can’t give a detailed timeline just yet, but we are actively working on it! If there’s anything that you want to make sure we take into consideration while building this feature, please let us know!
