Enscape will officially be supported for MacOS systems in 2022. No exact release date yet, but feel free to discuss and share your thoughts already if you like in our dedicated Mac section here.
Unfortunately, Enscape does not officially support iOS or MacOS based operating systems at this point.
The main reason is that Apple usually builds machines that don’t meet the requirements for high quality real-time 3D applications such as Enscape. However, should your Mac support our System Requirements, you should not have a problem running Enscape on Windows via Bootcamp.
In any case, if you like to see iOS or MacOS supported in the future, please send us some feedback via our Feedback button, or e-mail us via - if the demand for this feature is high enough we will provide it.
You mean an ETA when Enscape will be available for MacOS or iOS? Not at the moment I’m afraid - feel free to view created panoramas through Enscape on your iOS devices though, that is already a possibility. I’m also forwarding your wish to have Mac OS support implemented in the future.
Modern Apple machines include dedicated graphics cards (depending on the price and model though) which would be supported by Enscape just fine, it’s just that the majority of older Apple machines only include a dedicated on-board Intel graphics chip, which is simply not efficient enough for Enscape.
We may offer support in the future (especially when more and more models will be released with dedicated graphics cards), but we cannot make any promises yet.
I’m forwarding your inquiry to support Mac in the future as well.
And about the week Graphic cards. I have an iMac 2019 with a Radeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB. Which would be sufficient. But when I know I am gonna work graphics heavy, I also plug in an external Graphics card. In my case an RX 580 8GB. But I would be willing to upgrade to an 16GB card any time I need and could use all 3 cards at the same time. So.. If you need the power.. its not that hard to get any more on Macs from 2016 upwards (Thunderbolt 3). By now its really just plug and play.
Twinmotion and Epic are currently running on Mac OS with dedicated graphics and EGPU (and running well). It is possible to run something as intensive as Enscape natively in MacOS and I would venture to say there is a market for it.
