Will we ever get the ability to manipulate the HDRI image? Or how are hdri images used within the scene? How do I go about placing a camera to know how to get the HDRI to show up how I need. I’ve attached an image to show how the horizon line is far below mine.
I think it depends on the HDRI. The ones I buy are always good. I usually match the setting used to take the HDRI to my scene’s camera. I guess it would be useful to be able to move the HDRI up or down in V-Ray.
what settings are you referring to in regards to the HDRI image? How do I find them within my images?
I purchased mine from hdri-locations.com and they come with a text file.

Is there any trick to not having the HDRI background look over exposed? I have been playing around with using several different HDRI’s and they all seem to have the same problem.
From my understanding it’s the quality of the HDRI. I’m using free ones so I have to play with them alot to look right. If you have a real nice paid/created HDRI then I don’t believe you will have that issue.
Set the dome light to invisible and have a second one in MAX’s environment slot. You can control them seperate.
Use these HDRI’s. You can download lower resolution ones for free, once you have found one you like download the 16K version for like 10 bucks.
