Did anyone else get a request for information from jim@trinity3d.com for the dongle? They claim 1.5 final will be released within a month and vray asked them to contact me.

yes we did. luckily he’s in my area 
I received that mail too because I purchased my license from them a few years ago; I asked to Trinity3d if everythings was ok with my personal data (I’m in Italy) and after a few weeks I received my dongle.
So, for me everything was fine with their support.

I kind of guessed about “a month” and just hoped it would be out sometime soon. Then Chaos went and released it here at the show!

I can’t remember who we bought ours from…i think we bought it directly from the Chaosgroup…so i’m kind of wondering who we go to for our dongle.
I also bought mine from Chaosgroup but Trinity sent this: “Dear Vray owner: Chaos Group gave us your email and asked us to follow up with you with respect to your VRay dongle…” and promptly sent it.

yes i bought my personal license directly from chaos and trinity3d gave me my dongle. apparently chaos found my closest reseller and sent them my dongle.
hey dwayn you can try studica which is around your corner…they sell you the dongle for 40 bucks
I guess it was a crap shoot that assigned me to the reseller I got. I’m not happy with the choice. I’m going to ask Chaos if my request could be forwarded to Trinity. They seem pretty nice. 
yea , my reseller took me for $50.00 - $40+10 shipping and have to wait a week for delivery… time to look for a new (3d) dealer.

So has everyone who received the email got their dongles? Just wondering because I haven’t seen them yet and it’s been about a month or so.
I got the e-mail from Trinity and replied the same day. I got my lock Monday, August 10, 2007
Got mine last week. No charge. 1.500 is fantastic!
Ive been waiting for my dongle for over six months now, still not sure why its not hear yet. Gues i should email them again 
For those of you whose reseller wants to charge them any money for the dongle itself. I would highly suggest NOT paying, (postage is ok) and find another resller to get the dongle thru.
The dongles are not meant to be charged for.
Yep contacted my reseller and they want $40 US plus postage for the dongle. My reseller is Ideate Inc.
So just to confirm. There is supposed to be no charge for the dongle except postage?
