has anyone tried out these hdr images?
I have been playing around trying to get some good studio style lighting, (especially for chrome) though using these hdr images seems like an easy way out…
For a good base studio lighting HDRI you might want to do a search for one I believe Maxxer uploaded. Also, VRayLights placed just right work very well for studio lighting.

You might want to try getting some studio lighting books and check out their setups and mimic those in max with vray lights and reflector objects.
Render those out as spherical or box hdr’s and you’ll get results similar to what the dosch images do. Plus you’ll gain more experience in working with lighting falloff and lighting contrast ratios.
