Hi all!
I did some experiments with HDR-shop and a borrowed digital camera. I created a real HDR map that you can use with vray for some nice reflections.
It’s not the greatest quality, but I will create a better one soon, and it’s a welcome change from the famous kitchen.hdr and other over-used hdr maps.
Go here for the map: http://www.flipside.neopages.net/hdri.htm
Hope you like it!

hum, the dynamic range the first one don’t exceed 1
the seconde one, well.. 8
not bad but not good
Hey finish,
How do you test that? I did take several pics for the first one, but I didn’t do all the difficult stuff that the tutorial on devbec’s site listed.
But when I use the map as environment in hdri format or just as a regular bitmap, I get very different results, so I assumed the HDRI worked.
I think Finish just volunteered to make us some hdr’s , I’d like one from the top of a hill so there is a lot of sky. Any other requests
Yeah, at different daytimes too!
