A few days ago I updated C4D 2026.0.0 to 2026.3.3. Since then my vfb got shrunk to about two thirds of the surrounding window (it sits in the upper left corner), no matter if I use it in full sreen mode or scale it down. This happens with two different V-Ray 7 installations while V-Ray 6 behaves normal.
I use two identical 4K Monitors at 3840 x 2160 and a Windows screen scaling of 150 %, which might be the reason for the issue. But changing it to 100 % doesn’t fix the downscaling and results in some further issues regarding the spacing of the text fields inside the vfb.
@deyan.hadzhiev mentioned in this post that you “changed / upgraded some of our UI frameworks under the hood for V-Ray 7”. Could this be the reason?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Hi @greymiura , we also noticed that the update to Cinema 4D 2026.3 introduced a problem with how the layout scaling for the V-Ray VFB is calculated. We had an internal issue that was seemingly fixed, at least not longer reproducible (4K monitor with 150% scaling). You mentioned that you updated Cinema 4D, but did you update V-Ray for Cinema 4D to its latest version (v7.40.00) which should include a fix for this issue? If not, can you please try updating to see if the issue will persist? And if it persists, can you send a screenshot of the UI?
Thank your very much @deyan.hadzhiev for your kind reply! Your’re right V-Ray 7.40.00 fixes the issue.
Unfortunately, the problem still persists with C4D 2025 & V-Ray 7.1, which is my current working environment for commercial projects. But I think there won’t be an easy fix for this, will it?
It is interesting how your Cinema 4D 2026 update affected the older Cinema 4D 2025.
I will try to backport the fix to the older 7.1 stable builds, please check them in the next few days here.

Indeed
Many thanks again, @deyan.hadzhiev , I very much appreciate this!
Best regards & have a nice weekend!
