I get the error “could not connect because the target machine actively
refused it” on VIZ 2007 here at home and MAX 8 at work.
Any suggestions ?
That means that either you don’t have the vrayspawner running on the render slave, or some firewall does not allow the TCP/IP connection to be established.

I was having that same problem.. turned off the windows firewall and it went away but some new configuration problems surfaced.
I’m getting on the vray messg window that render slaves have loaded the scene and are starting render…then they fail..
“warning: Render host unknown (192.1.x.x ) is not responding”
on the render slaves I have chequed using the client license settings app that they are correctly pointing to the license server. and spawner is running
also sometimes I get just after hitting render:
Error saving file
>ok
file///%^&&^?/ might be corrupt, want to try save a copy of the scene
> yes > no
this is random and has happened a few times..
what can I have wrong?
