DR not working with region or follow mouse

When I use distributed rendering with latest V-ray, the region selection not working and also the mouse follow not working with network rendering.
Is there a fix or is my setup only bugged? Anyone have the same issue?

I can reproduce the mouse follow issue, but not the render region one. Mind if you share a video reproduction?

EDIT: Logged (VMAX-15569) the “Follow mouse” issue.

yes, the Render region and polygon region is working, but not as expected. It renders the whole image. It is black where is not selected and with same render time the buckets moves as it is rendering everything not only selected region.

This doesn’t seem to be the case on my end. You are using 7.3, right? Does it happen in every scene? Please, share a video.

I can confirm this also happens to me. I had to stop using polygon region render with DR it’s very unfortunate. It renders the whole frame for me but only shows changed buckets in the region. So no time savings over just re-rendering the whole frame.

Mind if you send a scene/video of how you reproduce it?

Sure let me know where to drop the video. This time when I did a polygon region, instead of it doing the whole frame it seemed like it just rendered a regular rectangular region at the bounds of the polygon. Some buckets were literally still stuck outside the polygon render region when the rest of the rendering finished. But other times I know it’s rendered the whole image for whatever reason. I just made a standard test scene with a bunch of cylinders made of frosted glass. Brute force light cache. standard settings. Max 2024 7.20.09 Build 33442

By the way, does update 3 include a fix for Max crashing with DR on render end when Corona or Standard materials are present in the scene? I never heard back from you.

Drop the files here. Regarding the materials - I answered you in another thread (you already saw).

Thanks. Reproduced it. Generally, the region bounding box is rendered when using a polygon region (a.k.a a masked rectangular region). This happens in regular local rendering, too. However, it should not be this slow. I’ll log the issue asap.
