DR -- server not responding

I finally got around to trying RC2 and the core features seem great at first glance. My first problem is related to DR.

I just tested one other computer -- installed 1.5 and pointed it toward the ‘virtual dongle’ license server on my main workstation.

When I render, the Vray messages says…

Server 192.168.1.110 scene loaded;starting render

and then immediately adds…

Server 192.168.1.110 Render completed.

While my main workstation actually works thru the 3 minute rendering, the slave does nothing and eventual another line on the vray messages comes up which says

Server 192.168.1.110 Render host 192.168.1.110 is not responding

Is the virtual dongle supported for DR? Is there something else I’m missing?

yup, DR is working here.. Make sure the virutal dongle is installed on the render slaves as well. :slight_smile:

Aha.

That’s it. I didn’t think the WIBU drivers (& virtual thing) needed to be installed-- except on the station with the license server.

It’s all good now. Thanks
